Back-to-School Gifts for Kids and Teachers

I don’t know about you, but I like to surprise my kiddos with a special gift after their first day back-to-school.  Just a little something to say, “welcome back to school and I know you are going to have a great year!”  I am a huge advocate for positive reinforcement, so the more I can do on my part to help encourage good behavior, good study habits, completion of classwork and homework, etc. in my kiddos and students, I believe everyone will benefit.

As a children’s book-aholic, my choice for my kiddos’ back-to-school gifts this year are books and a snuggly new friend to welcome them home.  For my Ninjago-loving son, I chose these books here and here.  And for my Palace Pet-loving daughter, I chose these books here and here.  I also put in a snuggly new friend for both my son and daughter.  I am a fan of giving books and snuggly friends for gifts as I know they will be used to cuddle and read with (two of my favorite things to do with my kiddos).  My daughter enjoys cuddling up to read to her snuggly friends.  It’s really cute and gives her practice reading (without any judgment).

If you want to surprise your kiddos’ teachers with a back-to-school gift, my suggestion is to give them a gift card.  Even if it is something small, they will appreciate it.  Also, if you have a side business, you may want to give them a cute gift basket filled with free samples of the products you are selling.  This allows them the opportunity to try the products, and it gives your business exposure.

Regardless of if you do back-to-school gifts for your children and/or teachers, I hope that everyone has a successful academic year of growth and learning!!  Here’s to a wonderful 2015-2016 school year!!
