1. Read the book to your child(ren) or have them read it to you.
2. Discuss the bold-faced words and their meanings (use the glossary in the back of the book if needed).
3. Encourage them to talk about the pictures and the various pictographs.
4. Have them do the “You Try It!” activity.
5. Review pictographs and try to answer questions your child(ren) may still have relating to pictographs.
